6th G2MC International Conference
Genomic Medicine Implementation in Low-Resource Settings
September 29 – October 1, 2021 | Virtual Meeting
Join us for the 6th G2MC International Conference!
G2MC welcomes participants to join us for the 6th G2MC International Conference to be held as a virtual meeting on September 29 – October 1, 2021. While we had hoped to hold this year’s conference in person in Santiago, Chile, the planning committee made the decision to pivot to a virtual conference as a result of ongoing travel and health guidance surrounding COVID-19. We are excited about the potential reach and engagement of participants from across the globe, which will be made possible through the virtual format. Join us as we come together to define collaborative projects and strategies for using genomic advances to improve clinical care globally, with a particular focus on low-resource settings.
DON'T MISS OUT ON THE OPPORTUNITY TO...
Registration Fees: Please note that while past conferences have been free of charge to attend, we will be implementing a nominal registration fee this year. The registration fee will help cover meeting expenses, and also help support G2MC as a non-profit organization through funding impactful activities that align with our mission of genomic medicine implementation worldwide. Registration fees will be waived for individuals who fall into specific categories (as detailed on the registration page) so we can ensure diverse and inclusive participation. While we hope that the fee is minimal in comparison to the value you will receive from attending the conference and the support you will be providing to G2MC, please contact us directly if you are unable to pay the fee as it is our goal to remain within our community’s interests and promote inclusivity.
We will continuously update this information as new details are finalized.
Young Investigators Forum
We are excited to continue our tradition of hosting a Young Investigators Forum (YIF) as part of the conference to foster new talent in genomics implementation. Young Investigators who wish to participate are encouraged to submit abstracts of their original work OR proposals for projects they wish to complete. The abstract/project submission deadline is August 20, 2021.
Up to 20 submissions will be selected by our YIF Review Committee for the platform presentations. All qualified submissions will be chosen for poster presentations, and all Young Investigators chosen as presenters will also receive free registration for the conference.
