The Global Genomic Medicine Collaborative (G2MC) is an organization that is creating a community of global leaders dedicated to advancing genomic medicine implementation in clinical care.
G2MC is identifying opportunities to foster global collaboration to demonstrate value and the effective use of genomics in medicine. The G2MC was started as an ‘action collaborative’ in the United States National Academies of Medicine and also was supported by the National Human Genome Research Institute of the NIH. Now as an independent not-for-profit charitable organization, it seeks to improve global health by catalyzing the implementation of genomic tools and knowledge into health care delivery globally.
Accelerate the integration of impact health tools, technologies, and knowledge into diverse global health care systems.
What We Do
To achieve it’s mission, G2MC works collaboratively with its active members to:
- Serve as nexus, clearinghouse, and knowledge base for genomic medicine activities globally;
- Develop opportunities for global genomic medicine demonstration projects (implementation and outcomes research) and;
- Capture and disseminate best practices for genomic medicine (in bioinformatics, education, evidence, pharmacogenomics, policy) across the global genomic medicine community.
